our story

Jared and Whitney met in 2010 during Swing night on Wednesday's at Brigham Young University - Idaho.  They didn't know each other very well, but little did they both know that a phone number would lead to marriage.  Jared was famous for his cheesy pick up lines, and Whitney decided one night at Swing that she would use a pick up line to ask for his number.  It worked!  Jared fell for it.  He called her a couple days later and asked her to the Valentine's Dance on campus.  They danced the night away and finished off the night with some frozen yogurt from Kiwi Loco.  He walked her home and thanked her for a wonderful first date.  Many dates later, Jared walked Whitney home and asked if he could kiss her.  She was nervous and said she wasn't ready.  He was polite and a gentleman and said okay and smiled.  Still continuing to date, and he asked her to come with him to Utah for a day trip for an interview he had. They drove down in a rental car and explored Salt Lake.  Later in the evening he asked again if he could kiss her and she said yes. Their journey had begun!  In April of 2011 sitting in his living room at his home in Boise, Idaho, they talked and laughed and Jared leaned in and said, Whitney I think you're supposed to spend the fall in Texas with me.  She leaned into him and felt his pulse and said, You're nervous.  Though they didn't spend the fall in Texas together.  Months later on November 24, 2012, they were married in the Rexburg, Idaho Latter-Day Saint Temple and the following summer moved to Austin, Texas.  Now they will create memories that will last an eternity.
