Family Fun

I think I'm just going to stop apologizing because let's face it, I've been terrible and probably will continue to be terrible at keeping up with the blog posts.  And rather than doing one super long post, I'm going to do two - so make sure you check out the post below as well.  BUT here's what's happened these past couple of months.

WARNING: long post of photos and videos ahead . . .
One quick story before I start into the month of June - Jared and I got the wonderful privilege of talking on the phone with Jared's brother, Cameron on Mother's Day.  Towards the end of our phone call, I noticed something on the couch, it looked like just a piece of fuzz, so I just brushed it.  But it wasn't.  It scurried so fast under the couch, but we had to keep quiet because we were still on the phone to Cameron.  Needless to say, (for those of you who know how much I love spiders . . .) I asked Jared to lift up the couches and clean/vacuum the whole room.  Such a good husband : )
We did not actually find the spider, but there's no way that little fuzzball survived what we put it through . . .

This month we celebrated Jared's birthday by receiving a bunch of books because those of you that know him really well, know he's a total bookworm and wants to read all of the books we own (which is quite a bit) : )

He also got a ripstick from my parents, brother and sister.  He's such a quick learner that in no time he was riding it with no problem.  If any of you know what a ripstick is - you know how hard they are to learn - you have to move your legs back and forth while balancing on two small wheels to get the ripstick moving like a skateboard.

We then took an adventure up to Seattle, Washington and Boise, Idaho.  Flying in we got to see a beautiful view of Mt Rainer.  Amazing.

We traveled to Seattle for my brother, Jake's High School graduation, Mission Farewell, Priesthood Ordination and Temple Endowment (for those who don't know what some of these are - there is plenty of information on the page link above "what we believe" OR just message me on Facebook and ask. I'd be happy to tell you all about it).

Then it was off to Boise, Idaho.  We spent an afternoon at the Boise Zoo and had lots and lots of fun.

We went to the butterfly pavilion and had bunches of butterflies land on us - many that could not stay away from Jared : )  Some that landed on Jared's brother and sister-in-law's twins.  I was holding Sage and a big butterfly landed on her leg and she almost squished it by trying to grab it.  We all thought it was pretty funny.

I asked Jared to get on this wooden tiger that was in the trail and he - being such a wonderful man - got on and was making everyone laugh by his facial expressions.  I love this guy.

We also found our first home at the Zoo.  It was small, but nice and cozy : )

Then our time was spent with babies and family shenanigans.

Jared used to play DDR in High School a lot, but hasn't played since.  When we were visiting in Boise, he got the chance to play with his brother, Brad.  It was so funny to watch him dance just like it was old times.

Throughout the time we were in Boise we had a lot of fun holding and playing with Brad and Amelia's twin girls.  I was holding Sage and Jared was holding River.

We love being an aunt and uncle to these two : )

Jared also loves making these girls laugh - and it's so fun to watch.

The last couple hours of our visit in Boise Jared got to go swimming with his younger brother Jeremy.  They had lots of fun splashing each other especially while Jeremy jumped off the trampoline.

And, last but not least, we had a layover in LAX (which by the way, terrible terrible airport - I'm going to try my best to never schedule a layover there again . . .) haha no, but seriously.

BUT we did have a nice view flying out of the airport, beautiful : )
